Fabian Pedregosa is a Staff Research Scientist at Google DeepMind on the Gemini team, working at the intersection of mathematical reasoning, optimization, and large language models. He has been a technical lead on the systems that achieved silver (2024) and gold (2025) medal standards at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). Previously, he also worked in optimization research and has been a core contributor to many open-source libraries, such as scikit-learn, Optax, and JAXopt.
